I saw one of these about 6 months ago, also in great condition for under 10k. And have you seen the prices for Z8s? Ridiculous. Why do I want one so badly?

I know to stay away with pretty much anything with a V12, but c'mon its a V12 and not just any V12, a V12 with a manual. I know I will own at least one in my life.

You don't necessarily have to stay away from anything with a V12. This V12 is just on the short list of V12s not to own, haha
Have you read up on this engine? I think it has an ECU for each cylinder bank. It's literally two I6s fused together.
As crazy as this sounds I would buy a Ferrari 456 manual over this car. The running costs might actually be lower with the Ferrari!

I cant think of one car with a V12 that would have low maintenance costs. And indeed it has an ECU for each bank, as well as cam, crank, knock, and lambda sensors for each bank.
All I have to say to that is MMMMMM over-engineering.

I wonder if a Manuél DB9 would be cheaper to maintain
As crazy as this sounds it might be!

Actually, under-engineering in this case. They went for the cheaps.

Ok I concede, under-engieering, over complicating.

Yeah probably, but you make up the maintenance costs in initial price.
The funny thing is on page 2 of this it says one of the goals in creating the engine in the CSI (S70b56) from the engine in the regular 850 or 750 (S70) they were trying to reduce maintenance costs.

Wait, so now we have justification to buy a CSI?
SWEET!
I always wanted one anyways but they are so much more expensive. But now it's worth it!
